When Energy Goes Missing: New Physics in with Sterile Neutrinos
arXiv:2309.02940 · doi:10.1140/epjc/s10052-023-12326-9
Abstract
Belle II recently reported the first measurement of , which is above the Standard Model prediction. We explore the available parameter space of new physics within Standard Model effective field theory extended by sterile neutrinos (SMEFT) and provide predictions for the other decay modes and invisible decays. We also briefly comment on charged current decays and possible ultraviolet completions of the relevant SMEFT operators.
