Additively idempotent matrix semirings

Abstract
Let be an additively idempotent semiring and be the semiring of all matrices over . We characterize the conditions of when the semiring is congruence-simple provided that the semiring is either commutative or finite. We also give a characterization of when the semiring is subdirectly irreducible for beeing almost integral (i.e., for all ). In particular, we provide this characterization for the semirings derived from the pseudo MV-algebras.
