Study of the () meson via decays at BESIII

Abstract

Using 448 million events, the spin-singlet -wave charmonium state (1) is studied via the decay followed by the transition. The branching fractions are measured to be , , and , where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The (1) mass and width are determined to be and . Using the center of gravity mass of the three (1) mesons (), the hyperfine mass splitting is estimated to be , which is consistent with the expectation that the hyperfine splitting is zero at the lowest-order.
