Non-uniqueness times for the maximizer of the KPZ fixed point

arXiv:2202.01700

Abstract

Let be the KPZ fixed point started from any initial condition that guarantees has a maximum at every time almost surely. For any fixed , almost surely is uniquely attained. However, there are exceptional times when is achieved at multiple points. Let denote the set of times when is achieved at exactly points. We show that almost surely has Hausdorff dimension and is dense, has Hausdorff dimension and is dense, has Hausdorff dimension , and there are no times when is achieved at or more points. This resolves two conjectures of Corwin, Hammond, Hegde, and Matetski.
