Search for charged lepton flavor violating decays of $\hat{I}\yen (1S)$

Abstract

We present a search for the charged lepton-flavor-violating decays $\hat{I}\yen (1S)\to \ell {\ell }^{\prime }$ and radiative charged lepton-flavour-violating decays $\hat{I}\yen (1S)\to {\hat{I}}^3\ell {\ell }^{\prime }$ [$\ell ,{\ell }^{\prime }=e,\hat{I}¼,\ddot{I}„$] using the 158 million $\hat{I}\yen (2S)$ sample collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB collider. This search uses $\hat{I}\yen (1S)$ mesons produced in $\ddot{I}{€}^{+}\ddot{I}{€}^{-}\hat{I}\yen (1S)$ transitions. We do not find any significant signal, so we provide upper limits on the branching fractions at the 90% confidence level.
