Exponential mixing implies Bernoulli

Abstract

Let $f$ be a $C^{1+\alpha }$ diffeomorphism of a compact manifold $M$ preserving a smooth measure $\mu$. We show that if $f:(M,\mu )\to (M,\mu )$ is exponentially mixing then it is Bernoulli.
