Abstract
We are concerned here with Sobolev-type spaces of vector-valued functions. For an open subset and a Banach space , we compare the classical Sobolev space with the so-called Sobolev-Reshetnyak space . We see that, in general, is a closed subspace of . As a main result, we obtain that if, and only if, the Banach space has the Radon-Nikodým property
