Abstract

High-frequency/high-field electron paramagnetic resonance studies on two homo-nuclear 12-MC-4 metallacrown complexes CuCu and CoCo are presented. For CuCu, our data imply axial-type -anisotropy with = 2.03 0.01, = 2.04 0.01, and = 2.23 0.01, yielding . No significant zero field splitting (ZFS) of the ground state mode is observed. In CoCo, we find a m = 3/2 ground state with . The data suggest large anisotropy of negative sign.
