Abstract

A topological space is strongly if for any neighbourhood assignment , there is a such that covers and is locally finite in the topology generated by . We prove that implies that there is an space in (hence 0-dimensional, Hausdorff and hereditarily Lindelöf) which is not strongly . We also show that any space is dually discrete and if additionally, countable sets have Menger closure then is a -space.
