Abstract
For any positive integer and any -vertex graph , let denote the size of a smallest set of vertices of such that the graph obtained from by deleting the closed neighbourhood of contains no -clique. Thus, is the domination number of . We prove that if is connected, then unless is a -clique or and is a -cycle. The bound is sharp. The case is a classical result of Ore, and the case is a recent result of Caro and Hansberg. Our result solves a problem of Caro and Hansberg.
