The polar decomposition for adjointable operators on Hilbert -modules and centered operators

Abstract
Let be an adjointable operator between two Hilbert -modules and be the adjoint operator of . The polar decomposition of is characterized as and , where is a partial isometry, and denote the range of and the norm closure of the range of , respectively. Based on this new characterization of the polar decomposition, an application to the study of centered operators is carried out.
