Abstract
For , we prove local wellposedness for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation on with initial data in , where is a rectangular irrational -torus and is the scaling-critical regularity. This extends work of earlier authors on the local Cauchy theory for NLS on with power nonlinearities where is an even integer.
