Fragmentation-fraction ratio $f_{\hat{I}{ž}_b}/f_{\hat{I}{›}_b}$ in $b$- and $c$-baryon decays

Abstract

We study the ratio of fragmentation fractions, $f_{\hat{I}{ž}_b}/f_{\hat{I}{›}_b}$, from the measurement of $\hat{I}{ž}_b^0\to \hat{I}{ž}_c^{+}\ddot{I}{€}^{-}$ and $\hat{I}{›}_b^0\to \hat{I}{›}_c^{+}\ddot{I}{€}^{-}$ with $\hat{I}{ž}_c^{+}/\hat{I}{›}_c^{+}\to p{K}^{-}\ddot{I}{€}^{+}$. With the branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(\hat{I}{ž}_c^{+}\to p{K}^{-}\ddot{I}{€}^{+})=(2.2\pm 0.8)\%$ obtained under the U-spin symmetry, the fragmentation ratio is determined as $f_{\hat{I}{ž}_b}/f_{\hat{I}{›}_b}$=$0.054\pm 0.020$. To reduce the above uncertainties, we suggest to measure the branching fractions of $\hat{I}{ž}_c^{+}\to p{\overline{K}}^{\ast 0}$ and $\hat{I}{›}_c^{+}\to \hat{I}{\pounds }^{+}{K}^{\ast 0}$ at BESIII, Belle(II) and LHCb.
