Abstract
Let be a self-adjoint operator in a Hilbert space with domain . Assume that the spectrum of is confined in the union of disjoint intervals , , and Suppose that a linear operator in is -subordinated to , i.e. and , with some and . Then the spectrum of the perturbed operator lies in the union of a rectangle in and double parabola , provided that . The vertical strips , , belong to the resolvent set of , provided that and for large enough. For , denote by the curvilinear trapezoid formed by the lines , , and the boundary of the parabola . Assume that is the Riesz projection corresponding to the (bounded) part of the spectrum of that lies outside . And let , , be the Riesz projection for the part of the spectrum of confined within . Main result of the work consists in proving that the system of the invariant subspaces , , together with the invariant subspace forms an unconditional basis of subspaces in the space .
