Probing the superconducting gap symmetry of -PdBi: A penetration depth study

arXiv:1705.02070 · doi:10.1103/PhysRevB.95.134519

Abstract

We report measurements of the in-plane London penetration depth in single crystals of the -PdBi superconductor --- the -phase counterpart of the putative topological superconductor -PdBi, down to 0.35~K using a high-resolution tunnel-diode-based technique. Both and superfluid density exhibit an exponential behavior for 0.35, with 2.0, 2.0 and 140~nm, showing that -PdBi is a moderately-coupling, fully-gapped superconductor. The values of and are consistent with each other via strong-coupling corrections.
