Dislocation mediated plastic flow in aluminum: comparison between theory and experiment
arXiv:1702.00663
Abstract
The theory of dislocation mediated plastic flow proposed by Langer, Bouchbinder, and Lookman is applied to compute the stress-strain curve of aluminum and aluminum alloys over a wide range of temperatures and strain rates. The comparison with experiment shows excellent agreement.
The softening behavior of Al is not completely understood and require further investigation
