Abstract

We describe a quaternionic-based Ansatz generalizing the Gibbons-Hawking Ansatz to a class of hyperkähler metrics with hidden symmetries. We then apply it to obtain explicit expressions for gravitational instanton metrics of type $D_{k}$ .
