Abstract
A decomposition of a simple graph is a pair where is a set of subgraphs of , which partitions the edges of in the sense that every edge of belongs to exactly one subgraph in . If the elements of are induced subgraphs then the decomposition is denoted by . A --coloring of a decomposition is a surjective function that assigns to the edges of a color from a -set of colors, such that all edges of have the same color, and, if with then and have different colors. The \emph{chromatic index} of a decomposition is the smallest number for which there exists a --coloring of . The well-known Erdös-Faber-Lovász Conjecture states that any decomposition satisfies . We use quasigroups and complete digraphs to give a new family of decompositions that satisfy the conjecture.
