Abstract

For any complex number , let denote the divisor function defined by for all , and define to be the range of . We study the basic topological properties of the sets . In particular, we determine the complex numbers for which is bounded and determine the isolated points of the sets . In the third section, we find those values of for which is dense in . We also prove some results and pose several open problems about the closures of the sets when these sets are bounded.
