Boundary layer evolution in turbulent Rayleigh-Benard convection

Abstract
We present a fluid dynamics video which illustrates the dynamics of the velocity field in the boundary layer in a turbulent Rayleigh-Benard convection flow. The data are obtained from direct numerical simulation.
