Lattès maps and combinatorial expansion

Abstract

A Lattès map $f:\hat{\mathbb{C}}\to \hat{\mathbb{C}}$ is a rational map that is obtained from a finite quotient of a conformal torus endomorphism. We characterize Lattès maps by their combinatorial expansion behavior.
