Abstract

For a domain in with smooth boundary and for , we have the circular (radial) slit mapping on such that is regular at and , and we call the -(-)principal function; \ the -(-)constant, and \ the harmonic span, for . S.\,Hamano in \cite{hamano-2} showed the variation formula of the second order for the -const. for the moving domain in with . We show the corresponding formula for the -const. for , and combine these formulas to obtain, if the total space is pseudoconvex in , then is subharmonic on . Since the geometric meaning of is showed, this fact gives one of the relations between the conformal mappings on each fiber and the pseudoconvexity of . As a simple application we obtain the subharmonicity of on , where is the Poincaré distance between and .
