Abstract
The energy of a graph is defined as the sum of the absolute values of the eigenvalues of . An -vertex graph is said to be hypoenergetic if and strongly hypoenergetic if . In this paper, we consider hypoenergetic and strongly hypoenergetic trees. For any given and , the existence of both hypoenergetic and strongly hypoenergetic trees of order and maximum degree is completely characterized.
