Study of intermediate two-body decays in

arXiv:0808.3650

Abstract

We present results of a detailed study of the three-body decay. A significant enhancement of signal events is observed in the mass system near that is consistent with the presence of an intermediate baryonic resonance , where is the or state, or an admixture of the two states. We measure the product = (), where the last error is due to the uncertainty in . The significance of the signal is 6.1 standard deviations. This analysis is based on a data sample of 357 fb, accumulated at the resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy collider.
