The String bordism of $B{E}_8$ and $B{E}_8\times B{E}_8$ through dimension 14

Abstract

We compute the low dimensional String bordism groups of $B{E}_8$ and $B{E}_8\times B{E}_8$ using a combination of Adams spectral sequences together with comparisons to the Spin bordism cases.
