Disordered harmonic chain with random masses and springs: a combinatorial approach
Maximilien Bernard, Christophe Texier
We study harmonic chains with i.i.d. random spring constants and i.i.d. random masses . We introduce a new combinatorial approach which allows to derive a compact approx…
Uncertainty in AI-driven Monte Carlo simulations
Dimitrios Tzivrailis, Alberto Rosso, Eiji Kawasaki
In the study of complex systems, evaluating physical observables often requires sampling representative configurations via Monte Carlo techniques. These methods rely on repeated ev…
A mean-field theory for heterogeneous random growth with redistribution
Maximilien Bernard, Jean-Philippe Bouchaud, Pierre Le Doussal
We study the competition between random multiplicative growth and redistribution/migration in the mean-field limit, when the number of sites is very large but finite. We find that…
Non-reciprocal interactions and high-dimensional chaos: comparing dynamics and statistics of equilibria in a solvable class of models
Samantha J. Fournier, Alessandro Pacco, Valentina Ros +1
We investigate a model of high-dimensional dynamical variables with all-to-all interactions that are random and non-reciprocal. We characterize its phase diagram and show that the…
