On trajectories of vortices in the compressible fluid on a two-dimensional manifold
Olga S. Rozanova, Jui-Ling Yu, Chin-Kun Hu
For the model of a compressible barotropic fluid on a two dimensional rotating Riemmanian manifold we discuss a special class of smooth solutions having a form of a steady non-sing…
The Shape Parameter in the Shifted Surface Spline
Lin-Tian Luh
There is a constant c contained in the famous radial basis function shifted surface spline. It's called shape parameter. RBF people only know that this constant is very influential…
The Shape Parameter in the Gaussian Function
Lin-Tian Luh
In this paper we explore the influence of the shape parameter in the gaussian function on error estimates and present a set of criteria for its optimal choice.
The Mystery of the Shape Parameter IV
Lin-Tian Luh
In this paper we present a set of criteria for the choice of the shape parameter c contained in multiquadrics.
The Mystery of the Shape Parameter II
Lin-Tian Luh
In this paper we present criteria for the choice of the shape parameter c contained in the famous radial function multiquadric. It may be of interest to RBF people and all people u…
The Mystery of the Shape Parameter
Lin-Tian Luh
In this paper we present criteria for the optimal choice of the shape parameter c contained in the famous radial function multiquadrics.
