Black hole as an Information Eraser
Hyeong-Chan Kim, Jae-Weon Lee, Jungjai Lee
We discuss the identity of black hole entropy and show that the first law of black hole thermodynamics, in the case of a Schwarzschild black hole, can be derived from Landauer's pr…
Dark energy, inflation and the cosmic coincidence problem
Jungjai Lee, Hyeong-Chan Kim, Jae-Weon Lee
We show that holographic dark energy could explain why the current dark energy density is so small, if there was an inflation with a sufficient expansion in the early universe. It…
Stationary vacuum hyper-cylindrical solution in 4+1 dimensions
Jungjai Lee, Hyeong-Chan Kim
We find a 4+1 dimensional stationary vacuum hyper-cylindrical solution solution which is spherically symmetric in dimensions and invariant under the translation along the fifth…
Dark energy from vacuum entanglement
Jae-Weon Lee, Jungjai Lee, Hyeong-Chan Kim
We suggest that vacuum entanglement energy associated with the entanglement entropy of the universe is the origin of dark energy. The observed properties of dark energy can be expl…
