Geometrical Statistics--Classical and Quantum

Ingemar Bengtsson

This is a review of the ideas behind the Fisher--Rao metric on classical probability distributions, and how they generalize to metrics on density matrices. As is well known, the un…

Certainty relations between local and nonlocal observables

R. Garcia Diaz, J. L. Romero, G. Bjork +1

We demonstrate that for an arbitrary number of identical particles, each defined on a Hilbert-space of arbitrary dimension, there exists a whole ladder of relations of complementar…

Geodesics and the best measurement for distinguishing quantum states

Asa Ericsson

From statistical distinguishability of probability distributions, one can define distinguishability of quantum states. A corresponding measurement to perform, optimal in a definite…

Single Qubit Quantum Secret Sharing

Christian Schmid, Pavel Trojek, Harald Weinfurter +3

We present a simple and practical protocol for the solution of a secure multiparty communication task, the secret sharing, and its experimental realization. In this protocol, a sec…

Experimental quantum communication complexity

Pavel Trojek, Christian Schmid, Mohamed Bourennane +3

We prove that the fidelity of two exemplary communication complexity protocols, allowing for an N-1 bit communication, can be exponentially improved by N-1 (unentangled) qubit comm…
