Tackling the Challenges of Adding Pulse-level Support to a Heterogeneous HPCQC Software Stack: MQSS Pulse
Jorge Echavarria, Muhammad Nufail Farooqi, Amit Devra +22
We study the problem of adding native pulse-level control to heterogeneous High Performance Computing-Quantum Computing (HPCQC) software stacks, using the Munich Quantum Software S…
From Classical Data to Quantum Advantage -- Quantum Policy Evaluation on Quantum Hardware
Daniel Hein, Simon Wiedemann, Markus Baumann +7
Quantum policy evaluation (QPE) is a reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm which is quadratically more efficient than an analogous classical Monte Carlo estimation. It makes use of…
Near-Term Fermionic Simulation with Subspace Noise Tailored Quantum Error Mitigation
Miha Papič, Manuel G. Algaba, Emiliano Godinez-Ramirez +4
Quantum error mitigation (QEM) has emerged as a powerful tool for the extraction of useful quantum information from quantum devices. Here, we introduce the Subspace Noise Tailoring…
Opportunities and challenges of quantum computing for climate modelling
Mierk Schwabe, Lorenzo Pastori, Inés de Vega +6
Adaptation to climate change requires robust climate projections, yet the uncertainty in these projections performed by ensembles of Earth system models (ESMs) remains large. This…
