Fault-Tolerant One-Bit Addition with the Smallest Interesting Colour Code

Yang Wang, Selwyn Simsek, Thomas M. Gatterman +9

Fault-tolerant operations based on stabilizer codes are the state of the art in suppressing error rates in quantum computations. Most such codes do not permit a straightforward imp…

Code Deformation and Lattice Surgery Are Gauge Fixing

Christophe Vuillot, Lingling Lao, Ben Criger +3

The large-scale execution of quantum algorithms requires basic quantum operations to be implemented fault-tolerantly. The most popular technique for accomplishing this, using the d…

Neural network decoder for topological color codes with circuit level noise

P. Baireuther, M. D. Caio, B. Criger +2

A quantum computer needs the assistance of a classical algorithm to detect and identify errors that affect encoded quantum information. At this interface of classical and quantum c…

Multi-path Summation for Decoding 2D Topological Codes

Ben Criger, Imran Ashraf

Fault tolerance is a prerequisite for scalable quantum computing. Architectures based on 2D topological codes are effective for near-term implementations of fault tolerance. To obt…
