Singlet Stripe Phases in the planar t-J Model
Hirokazu Tsunetsugu, Matthias Troyer, T. M. Rice
The energies of singlet stripe phases in which a plane is broken up into spin liquid ladders by lines of holes, is examined. If the holes were static then patterns containing spin…
Thermodynamics and spin gap of the Heisenberg ladder calculated by the look-ahead Lanczos algorithm
Matthias Troyer, Hirokazu Tsunetsugu, Diethelm Wuertz
We have developed an improved version of the quantum transfer matrix algorithm. The extreme eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the transfer matrix are calculated by the recently devel…
Pairing and Excitation Spectrum in doped t-J Ladders
Hirokazu Tsunetsugu, Matthias Troyer, T. Maurice Rice
Exact diagonalization studies for a doped t-J ladder (or double chain) show hole pairing in the ground state. The excitation spectrum separates into a limited number of quasipartic…
Spin Gap and Superconductivity in the One-Dimensional t-J Model with Coulomb Repulsion
M. Troyer, H. Tsunetsugu, T. M. Rice +2
The one-dimensional t-J model with density-density repulsive interactions is investigated using exact diagonalization and quantum Monte Carlo methods. A short-range repulsion pushe…
