Subsequence Rational Ergodicity of Rank-One Transformations
Francisc Bozgan, Anthony Sanchez, Cesar E. Silva +2
We show that all rank-one transformations are subsequence boundedly rationally ergodic and that there exist rank-one transformations that are not weakly rationally ergodic.
Model-in-the-Loop (MILO): Accelerating Multimodal AI Data Annotation with LLMs
Yifan Wang, David Stevens, Pranay Shah +10
The growing demand for AI training data has transformed data annotation into a global industry, but traditional approaches relying on human annotators are often time-consuming, lab…
Canada and the SKA from 2020-2030
Kristine Spekkens, Cynthia Chiang, Roland Kothes +57
This white paper submitted for the 2020 Canadian Long-Range Planning process (LRP2020) presents the prospects for Canada and the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) from 2020-2030, focuss…
W-measurable sensitivity of semigroup actions
Francisc Bozgan, Anthony Sanchez, Cesar E. Silva +3
This paper studies the notion of W-measurable sensitivity in the context of semigroup actions. W-measurable sensitivity is a measurable generalization of sensitive dependence on in…
Optimal risk-assessment scheduling for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease
Francesca Gasperoni, Christopher H. Jackson, Angela M. Wood +4
In this work, we introduce a personalised and age-specific Net Benefit function, composed of benefits and costs, to recommend optimal timing of risk assessments for cardiovascular…
An atom interferometer for measuring loss of coherence from an atom mirror
Jerome Esteve, David Stevens, Christine Aussibal +3
We describe an atom interferometer to study the coherence of atoms reflected from an evanescent wave mirror. The interferometer is sensitive to the loss of phase coherence induced…
