Baryon resonance production in the $\ddot{I}€+d$ reaction and search for $\hat{I}\cdot$-mesic nuclei at J-PARC

Abstract

A double-scattering reaction $\ddot{I}{€}^{+}+d\to p+p+\hat{I}\cdot$, where an $\hat{I}\cdot$ meson is rescattered, may provide new information on the $\hat{I}\cdot N\to \hat{I}\cdot N$ scattering. An idea to measure this reaction is proposed. Moreover, experimental search for $\hat{I}\cdot$-mesic nuclei by the same $(\ddot{I}€,N)$ reaction is discussed.
